What is online coaching?
Online coaching is essentially having a personal trainer, nutrition and lifestyle coach at your fingertips.
Who would benefit from online coaching?
Anyone! Seriously though, unlike groups or clubs that you have to attend in person on a certain day at a certain time, if you are tight for time then online coaching would be perfect for you because it's on your phone/tablet/laptop and you have the freedom and flexibility whenever you need it.
What kind of people do you coach?
The type of clients I usually work with are clients who are struggling with their weight loss journey and reaching their goals. Perhaps they have been a member of a slimming club or tried fad diets again and again to no prevail - I'm here to change those habits, educate and empower those clients to take back control.
How does it work if i sign up as a client?
Once we've had a quick chat to discuss your goals and lifestyle and you do decide to join me as a client hen I will get you set up on an app called Trainerize. Via the app I will assign you a daily calorie target and exercise/fitness goals to meet.
Once a week you will send me your measurements (this can include scale weight if you're happy with this), progress photos & feedback on the week so we can see how you're progressing and if there's anything we need to tweak or change.
What if i'm struggling and need support?
Via the app you will be able to use the messenger functionality to contact me with any queries or questions at all on your nutrition or fitness plan during the week. I'll aim to respond within 1-2 hours if not sooner.
What if i have plans like a meal out or birthday?
If you have plans then I want you to enjoy yourself!
Can i eat anything I like or will it be restrictive?
For 99.9% of clients, i work with an approach known as 'If It Fits Your Macros IIFYM' - that means you can eat whatever you like during the day as long as it's within your calorie allowance & meets your macronutrient needs (protein, carbs and fats). Restricting foods can lead to cravings which can lead to over-eating so I am all about making room for your favourite foods.
Will i need to go to the gym and lift weights?
The short answer is no, not if you don't want to. If you have equipment to work out from home or enjoy doing HIIT classes or zumba then that's awesome too! My coaching approach is to find a plan that works for YOU, there's no benefit to you or I if you hate a certain exercise and I put it in a plan for you 3 times a week!
However, progress is made when we go outside our comfort zone and trying new exercises will definitely help keep things interesting, there's also a huge health benefit to us (especially women) in weight and resistance training but we can have that conversation when the time comes!

My prices start at £75 per month for 1-2-1 online coaching - there are various levels and plans available so we can discuss more if you decide to join me!
